This is one of the most dramatic images of the Lincoln Memorial that I have seen. No doubt it was inspired by the emotion that you were feeling by the loss of your nephew. Thank you for sharing this photograph and the story that led up to it. v/f

Artist's Description

On January 22, 2015, a senseless act of violence took the life of my young nephew Grant Ronnebeck. On February 25, 2015 I testified at a Congressional committee about his life and death, with hopes of changing the immigration policies of this great Nation. That evening, while strolling around the Nations Capitol for the first time in my life, I visited the Lincoln Memorial. I was completely overwhelmed by the power and size of this great man, and of his words contained within the monument. It makes me truly appreciate the work of our elected officials.
